Some news from Jade my Electus parrot

Hello all!

Well forgive me for no giving news before but was busy!

After my trip to Thailand been gone during 21 days i found my boy just fine on my way back home!

Of course he became more cage lover and ever since he tries to bite me if i get in there, but not to serious just a signal , HEY THIS IS MY TERRITORY

In a way is not that bad, as before he use to love to ask me out of his cage on and on, this has change now he enjoys been there and cage door is open must of the time

I don't want to push to much on our love affair, so i don't insist to much in bonding, he is now definitely relax , no more shaking or heavy breathings as when he first came to me.


So far he is fine, he has some new noises >>> And he started screaming no to loud, wish is new!!! Is Like a Alarm Scream and just in some specific occasions!

In the morning on his wake up time and during Loud TV or having many friends at home, he can become more noisy that our environment.

I can handle that quiet well so far, when entertaining with friends what i do and works is moving his cage into a different room ad he stays there just in silent MODE!

Also in the morning coffe time, what i do is no uncover his cage, until i have finish our coffee, also that works very well so far.

At dinner time for us what i do is give him some toast bread or chicken bones so he is busy and stays silent.

I can't complain about Jade, he is not difficult, he is not very noisy and he is not a love demanding bird as CAGS can be!

He is starting to whistle, as i always teach him how to whistle some songs ! ( He Loves Music)

And yes he is not a talker so far, he enjoys playing with a ball and thats it for now.

Yes I must admit that Eckie has a fabulous personality, first time in my bird life i ever see a video like that, I knew u will like it.

BTW Jade is eating more veggies, he finally likes green & Red Peppers going for carrots and of course loves Corn and Apples

How is Oliver doing, will love to see some videos of him one of this days !!!

I'm glad to hear Jade did well during your vacation He sounds like a really nice bird! Pretty easy going too.

Thanks but that bird on the vid is not Jade, I wish he be as funny as that little fellow there, my bird came to me at 7 months old and had no interaction with people!

The bird we see in the video looks like he was raise by there owners at a very early age!

Yes, what a beautiful boy, Eclectus parrots have some of the clearest speech of most of the parrots.

Hello

Is been a while since my last post, well Mr Jade is over a year old now and he is behabing quite well so far.

He still is not a big eater, he loves pasta, piza, boil corn, apple, mango, cooked carrots and goes crazy for steam potate served worm, when i give him that he makes funy noises while eating.

He enjoys alot riding on my electrique bike, he enjoys going to sweeming pool too.
He still lives in a small cage, but this cage is always open so he can fly out and go to the deck were he spends must of the morning hours by him self.

He destroys nothing in our home and he is very clean, he never poes on me and when his cage is not been clean he throughs all the mess out of the cage all over the floor.

He naw knows me and calls for me if i let him alone some were out of his territory.
He is naw defenitly multing, his thail feathers are foling out same as his win flying featheres. he is now starting to fly so i must be carefull as i take him out on my bike with out a leash, he feels very safe on the bike, but he does not apreaciate if i stop and leave him alone on the bike by him self 2 days ago he took of while i was doing a fast stop buying cigarrets.

I took him yesterday to the sea and put on him a flying harmet, well he was really pist at it and ened up biting me on an on really in a bad mood lol

well thats about all for now, his vocabulary hasent increase that much, maybe because we are in the sumer time and he comes with me must of the time were ever i go Sheer all Jade and Carlos

It sure sounds like Jade is a spoiled boy! Good for him I'm glad he gets to go on outdoor adventures with you. Thanks for the update.
