Bud-5yr old eclectus parrot.....my new baby
So my kids and I are trying to decide where the cage shall go. I have a 3 bedroom house with a living room and den. Actually, every room in my house has room for Bud 's cage. I just need advice on what would be a good place?

HI Fellow Parrot Lovers! Baby Green Wing Macaw, Loving Departed Yellow-naped Amazon "Poe"
Hello Chamile, Welcome to the forum!!

Well, I always feel the bird should be where all the action is, part of the daily family fun
So my vote would be where ever the most family time is spent

The bird will learn to sleep with your schedule (if the room is kept dark while everyone is sleeping)

BTW We LOVE Pictures !!

When we first got Sassy :green:we put her cage in the dining room because there are alot of windows and I thought she would like it there. After a couple days of her yelling everytime we were out of sight, we moved it to the other end of the dining room so she can see us whether we are in the living room, kitchen or dining room. Much better!:D

We have Buddy in the livingroom, by a window so he can see outside, and he can see most of the house. If we go outside he can see us through the window. I like him there because he is involved in pretty much everything and if I'm sitting in the room, he's quiet. The best is when people walk in the front door, he's our door greeter, lol.

Oliver is in what would be considered the dining room but of course his cage is so big there is no dining room table. He sees who comes in and who goes out from the front door but also can see who is coming and going from the bedrooms, kitchen, and family room yet he has privacy and is situated near the window so he can see out.

Appreciate the responses. Okay, so now that I know it is okay to place Bud around the action I'm either going to put him in the living room or dinning room....we are always in one of those rooms....

HAHA...I have been saying we should get rid of the table/chairs to make more room for the cages.
