my eckie is still eating he has 3 food bowls and evrytime i look at him hes eating . i spent $30 aus dollars today on fruit and veg i wouldnt normally spend that much a fortnight on me the missus and 2 kids

HAHA Ekkies have a habit of being 'garbage guts', especially at that age:rolleyes:. Just monitor his weight regularly to make sure he isn't 'overeating', although as long as you are feeding fresh, healthy foods, this probably won't happen. ;)

Sure is, there are subtle differences in colour pattern between subspecies. Size also varies, Vos are a little larger than RS. There are 9 (arguably 10) separate subspecies of Eclectus. Many have been interbred in captivity though.

It's amazing how much young parrots eat. We have yet to find something that Ruby, our 4 month old CAG, won't gobble down.

oh yeh i can agree on that ive not seen Rex knock back anything so far and if he didnt take it from my hand it was later found a mush in his food bowl anyway
