He's great! His infection is gone, ever since he was put on the correct medication. He never showed any signs of feeling sick, it was just the crop infection results that weren't good.

He was put on the wrong medication for his original infection and the broad spectrum he was put on (which the lab said was resistant) suppressed it enough but as soon as he went off it, it came back. Lab results told them which meds to use, and he's great.

I'm a little peeved at the amount of money I spent on everything but I'm glad he's fine. I just wish the vet had apologized to missing the results and should have switched him to the correct meds to begin with. I was the one who realized he was on the wrong meds. Those tests cost a fortune and Jasper had to have a lot of crop washes

People make mistakes, so I'm not holding a grudge, I'm just glad my little guy is ok, but if he ever has an infection again I'm checking myself he's on the right meds

Cute! I'm glad Jasper is better . Just make sure that maraca is played with under supervision only. That type of toy is made for small beaks (like cockatiels). I won't give toy maracas to my birds anymore, except maybe the budgies, because I saw when the parrots cracked one open, it was filled with dark metalic (lead looking ) small pieces.

Yes! Thanks for that. I only give him foot toys to play with when I'm there.
