I would love to hear recommendations for nail trimmers for both a medium sized bird and a small bird.

I have a tiel (who seems to keep his claws trimmed well so far using his sand perch) and a gorgeous senior red lored amazon will arrive next weekend.

Styptic powder is always on hand as we have other pets.

A Friend of mine does all our nail clipping, and we use cornstarch is there is bleeding:)

Smaller birds like tiels I use regular nail clippers but for Conures and up I use a animal nail clipper. I use flour or corn starch if bleeding occurs.

Thank you!

Cornflour/flour is preferred over styptic powder I see. I'll keep that in mind!

I never have to trim them lol! They stay short and sharp on their own, just from being themselves.

It's not that we prefer them but they're common household goods and usually everyone have them in stock. Plus they're animal safe!
