My parrot appears to have "lost his voice." He is making the same movements to chirp but no sound comes out or a little huffing noise comes out. Like a sigh. What does this mean? He can't talk or chirp. What causes this? He is eating, drinking and active like normal.

That sounds really weird... He's not making ANY noises except for the sighing?? Was he pretty "talkative" before? Has anything happened recently? Any accidents or tragedies???

Have you talked to your avian vet about this?

He was sick a few months ago with anemia and he was molting but he's been great since. He did stop talking though after being sick. Like he stopped saying "hello" and stuff, but he would still make noises. Now it's as if he lost his voice like the way a person would, he sounds hoarse. Barely any sound and it's an odd sound like a tiny little huff noise. It's definitely respiratory but I just don't understand it; does it happen occasionally to birds or is there something seriously wrong? I do not know

Hmmm sounds pretty odd... If I were you, I'd call my avian vet and let them know what's going on because there might be an underlying health issue.
