Is pet insurance a good idea?

I was wondering if any of you here parronts have thought about, or possibly used pet insurance for parrots? My dog has an insurance plan that I love! But I don't see a lot of options for parrots... Do you guys think parrot pet insurance is a good idea? I've heard of CareCredit, which I am thinking about... And if any of you are using CareCredit, please share your reviews and thoughts as well! I'm still looking into CareCredit. (And add in your thoughts for any other service that is similar to CareCredit!

My bird is better insured than I am! I have yet to have to use it but it is definitely great.

Care Credit is only a high interest credit card. We use it and think it's great, but you must be diligent about paying it off during the no interest time frame.

What insurance company do you use, if you're comfortable saying the name?

I use V.P.I. they have excellent customer service. The only problem I have is that there are an awful lot of things not covered but it's great in case of an emergency.

I agree... There aren't many Avian Insurances. And trust me, I'm sure there'd be a ton of people using it!
