Hello people ! I want to ask you a question and I think it's a dumb question :D So here we go :

1. My parrot was ok few days, but yesterday he was somehow quiet. Is maybe a weather climate affecting parrots ? Our weather is awful (one day cold, another day warm, and so on...), so is that normal ? Thanks in advance ! :)

2. My parrot took a bath today and when he returned to cage, he started to shake a little. Is that because he is sick or something else ? The worst thing is, we don't have 24/7 vet anymore :( Darn vets :\

I appreciate any help you provide :)

a little shaking after a bath is to be expected unless it's really warm. You do want to try to prevent you bird catching a chill, but a little shiver is probably not something to worry about. You can avoid baths or aid in drying if you are concerned about the temperature.

My alexandrine is quite in-tune with the weather and she tends to be upbeat and active on bright sunny days and quiet, bordering on sullen when it's grey and dreary.

it's good that you are enough in tune with your bird's behavior to notice these changes. You can see about providing additional artificial light on dark days and that may help your bird's mood. If it continues to act differently it may be time to track down those elusive vets and have a checkup.

Fred is the same way. He's much less active on dull days...Do make sure the bird deosn't get chilled after the bath, though. I usually dry Fred a little with a hair dryer...
