When we first got Greybeard two years ago, we started to name him the Earl of Greystoke, after the movie, "Greystoke, the Legend of Tarzan." Then we watched the movie again. There was not a single bird in it.
PBS did a great program a couple of years ago, "The Parrots of Oz," but so far we've seen nothing on their African cousins, who have a history with man going back maybe thousands of years. We have found only a few minutes African Grey video on Utube. There are lots of PBS nature programs on African wildlife, but never even a glimpse of a parrot.
"Birding Adventures" did a series on birds in Botswana, but no parrots. Why are the African parrots ignored? Or have we missed some?
