Questions about Conure

1. Does Conure pluck feather? When I had a budgie he would pull few feathers out and stuff. 2. How bad do they smell? I know that Conure smells, but I want to know how bad it is. 3. If I kept a Conure in my room would my room stink? Thank you for reading!

Yes, conures can pluck their feathers, but usually there will be some underlying reason, health or diet, too dry an atmosphere, boredom, a lot of things need to be addressed to determine the cause of a bird's plucking.....

As to odor, I've had maroon-belly conures, green cheek conures, sun conures & Patagonian conures & none have ever had any offensive odor.....though if you don't clean the cage regularly, I'm sure pretty sure you might find a pungent smell developing.....

I have a green cheek conure and I keep her cage in my bedroom and it doesn't smell bad. The bird its self has barely any oder, she smells a bit like her food if anything.
Bird poop doesn't smell like much either, but weco is right, Im sure if you don't clean out the cage regularly it would start to smell.
I clean out the cage about every other day and so far there is no smell.
