You know you have a problem when...

You own one parrot, and somehow have 2 carrying cases, 2 cages, a playstand, 4 boxes of toys, and 1 cart all dedicated to said parrot.

With myself it's so easy to pitch things I no longer use. With the parrot, I'm coming to terms that I might be a hoarder. I always feel like I might use some of these loose bits of toys or old toys someday.

Anyone have a similar issue? Tips to overcome?

Do a clean up hahaha
I don’t have that many toys cause they are expensive as fu** here in Belgium...
where do you buy toys?!
You don’t really find any cheaper than 20€ for a normal size one. A little one, for budgies for example, they are like 12-13€...
Of course, wooden toys are 25€ and more

You don’t really find any cheaper than 20€ for a normal size one. A little one, for budgies for example, they are like 12-13€...
Of course, wooden toys are 25€ and more

Yikes ! That does sting. Well a lot of my "toys" that I purchase are parts. There's a few online sites in the states that will sell you wholesale parts, like the hardware, small foot/toy esche objects, natural woods and seed pods, leather strips, shredded paper, etc. So I wound up with a lot of loose parts that just need to be assembled into something creative. My conure also doesn't tend to completely destroy toys usually, which is a shame because I'd really like to toss some of this stuff but it has too much life right not to justify tossing.

Toys are not cheap anywhere! I am not sure of conversion rates, but I have spent anywhere from $5 to over $45 for a single toy, USD. But when it comes to our babies, is price really a factor? I have bins and bins of new toys, old toys, toy parts, foot toys, and I even got my mom to get me a drill press for Christmas so I can make even more toys!

That doesn't include the 20 pound tub off pellets, the 5 pounds of nutriberries, all the assorted extra bowls, perches, food add ins, the brand new refrigerator I just went out and bought specifically for them to put their fresh foods in. Like literally, it is for the birds.

Do I have a problem? No, I just love my kids.

Sounds normal to me.. LOL! Not that that helps!!! I will say that I tried pushing carrots and a rope "boing" swing for over a year (both presented on a ner-daily basis) and I JUST got interest this week...over a year of trying both!!!! ugh/lol

I’ve got the same problem lol! I finally tried cutting the top off a cardboard box and filling it with leftover toy pieces. It took a few weeks for them to decide to investigate but Tango and Baby now play with and chew up the left over parts of old toys....then I can justify throwing them out . I just dump the box out every week and put “new” stuff in it. I feel better about tossing them after they’ve been used twice.
