The zebs breed like mad, If I don't stop 'em they can have as much as 50-60 babies a year!!! It's good to stop them because the hen gets exhausted and can get egg bound.

Have you tried to cook carrots? And give them warm is a good thing because they love warm food. Tomatoes is good too.
Don't spoil him with to many sweet fruits. Apple is not a good fruit to give everyday.

But sweet fruits are apple for an example. Apple is more like candy.

Tomatoes, cantaloupe melon, broccoli, green beans, corn, carrots, rose-hips, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, peppers are great to give every day.
And boil them or serve them lukewarm to spare your parrot's stomach.

how do you stop zebra's from mating....or is that a stupid question?? Just wondering, because I've thought of removing the nests after their babies have fledged and totally leave the nest. I would love to give them a break, just not sure what works.

Baby food works fine.:)
I don't know what brand u have, but I use Semper in Sweden.

Cook or warm the veggies, then mix in a blender.
Give small amounts in the beginning.

So happy to hear that! :) And you more veggies you give now you more will he enjoy that kind of food when he gets older.
Eloy loves veggies, and I think it's because that what I eat a lot of. (we eat together)

They're quite difficult to stop from breeding as they will start laying in the food dish if you remove their nest. The only thing you can do is completely separate them apart. Another thing you can do is move them into a brand new cage, they will not breed in it for awhile.

Now back to the original poster, yes you can start feeding the baby all kinds of stuffs now as long as he will accept. I allow my babies to learn to play with different food while young. They taste everything with their mouth so IF they like the taste they will eat it. There's lots of stuffs you can cook for them or your able to buy stuffs like kum foo yum online that you can cook and serve to your birds.

Just this past weekend I partially cooked a bunch of baby carrots and fresh green beans and then put them in the food processor to about a mush consistency. Put a little bit of Kaytee baby bird food or Prime on there for some extra oomph and see if he likes it! Gotta make sure he's getting enough calories!
