how to correctly breed and raise lovebirds?

i read somewhere that if you handle a lovebird everyday for half an hour after it being a week old that it will stay tame. i have not been able to find any other sites stating this so i am guessing its not true, but is it?

I have no idea of when to start, but I am sure that you need to handle them for some time every day for several months to tame them properly. The week may be too long or too short, and the half hour may be too short (I don't think you could to it too long), but other than adjusting those numbers I am sure that the theory is correct.
