hi,

I was wondering is it possible to use 100mm wide by 47mm thick construction timber to build an aviary for multiple macaws with 12mm wire mesh or would they chew through this? thanks!!

Pressure treated lumber is potentially toxic.

Non pressure treated lumber will (1) rot and fall apart if exposed to the elements, and (b) is likely to be used as a chew toy by a macaw.

There are plans posted on this forum for constructing an outdoor flight with the use of a Costco Carport. That's probably the most economical way to DIY an outdoor flight

Ha! Found it!
