macaw owners? some info please

like i said vince is only 18 weeks old. but he hates going near bathroom for shower whats my best way of breaking him in to getting bath.

also everytime he sees me or my girlfriend he always flys over to us wont perch on his own. i know hes bonding with us but after a while of his tallons it get sore lol any info would be great help thanks kyle

beau hates the bathroom shower too, i put the kitchen tap on which facinates him and he gets in for a bath (there's a video of him having a bath in the video thread).

as for the perching thing- i'm the same! as i'm typing beau is sat on my arm! i find if i put lots of his fave foods in a dish by his play perch he will sit there eating while i do some cleaning etc
and in the afternoon he sits on the door and naps for a few hours.
if he is really in the way when i'm busy i put him in his cage with a new toy or treat, and after a time out he's calmed down a bit.

i found that if i fuss him everytime he lands on me, he pounce's on me when i don't really want him too. instead when i call him to me he knows he'll get a fuss, he's learning the difference now, and gets excited when i hold my arm out and say 'beau come for a tickle'
he won't get the 'tickle' if he wasn't invited first....

(well mostly he doesn't, i'm still learning too)!!
