macaws in outside aviary

hi to all
i used to keep a blue and gold as a pet indoors about seven years ago but our daughter arrived and the boss(the wife) decided he was too noisey so we donated him to a private collector but looking back i wish i kept him and put him in the garden.we are now thinking of geting a proven pair and housing them in a 20ft outside aviary.now my question is will a pair in the garden be more independant ,less demanding, not scream as much as a pet indoors.many thanks

I highly doubt living outdoors will have any impact on these factors. However the fact that they are a bonded pair will likely make them more independent and less demanding of your attention....

I have to ask though ... and I'm trying to phrase this to not come off as abrupt, but if you don't want a demanding pet (or a pet at all from the sounds of it) then why on earth are you considering getting parrots, macaws no less? If you are not looking for a lifelong companion to devote time and effort to please do not get a parrot.

why does it sound so wrong that i donated my pet b&g which is now in a 150ft flight & reard 5 lots of babies & mixes with 30 pairs of macaws which i vist and learn from weekly.so i no what you are thinking that i am about to rush in but that could not be further from the truth

I guess we know who wears the pants in that house. But i think it's great the collector put to the bird to work.
