I'm Don from upstate New York. I'm 55 and retiring at the end of 2019 to the Caribbean - the Commonwealth of Dominica in the Lesser Antilles.
I have two macaws. Sinbad is a blue and gold, who is 22. I got him when he was six years old from his first owner. Pico is a 16 year old scarlet and I have had her since she was a couple months old. I don't know their sexes - I am guessing. I will post pics when I get a chance.
If anyone has any experience keeping macaws outdoors in warm climates (Dominica not New York LOL) please message me as I plan to build a small aviary for the birds when I retire. Also if anyone has traveled long distances with birds please message me.
