Hi everyone

What a great forum this is, it's so great to hear other peoples stories, problems, solutions and advice.

Diego is our new family member who is a Blue Fronted Amazon. He is only a bubby at 4 months old but is already saying Hola to everyone as well as Uh Oh! whenever he drops something or misses his perch. His most common chattering is baaaaaaaaaaa as he was hand reared near to a farm that had goats.

He loves a good scratch on the back of his head and often flirts with me by fluttering his eyelids with his long lashes, so that I give him lots of kisses and scratches.

We have not had him long so we are still very much getting used to each other and although he is a very loving bird I still do not push much onto him and take everyday as it comes. I have started doing clicker training which I'm up to the step up stage although he does have his off days :D

I cannot believe what a joy he is to have around and the love I feel for my feathered son. Only now after having him do I understand why parrot owners are so hooked!

Carolina :)

Welcome to you and Diego! Amazons are beautiful parrots, and so full of personality that it's really no surprise that you would fall in love with Diego so quickly!
