Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself as a new conure friend. My girlfriend has always wanted a parrot. We didn't want to spend a lot on a bird because neither of us had any knowledge of parrots. I did a lot of research over a few days and we decided on a conure. We looked at a few pet stores as some but decided to keep looking. We found a breeder about 2 hours from us and his prices were much more reasonable. To make a long story short, we purchased a pineapple GCC and held him for the entire ride home. We've had him for 5 days now. He is almost 6 weeks old now and we are still hand feeding him out of a dropper. He absolutely loves being with us and our kids. He spends about 3/4 of the day on us which is his preference. He tries really hard to get out of his cage when we put him back in. Anyways, neither of us thought a bird could be so cuddly and affectionate. Look forward to learning lots here.
pineapple conures are my favorite conures!! Followed by sun conures!
