A blessing

While taking care of my mom diagnosed with Alzheimer, I found much needed peace in birds. My local pharmacy had a beautiful Sun Conure, and I felt in love with Bobby. I started purchasing lovebirds, then a Jenday conure and a pair of parrotlets. My lastest baby is an Australian parrot named Arcoiris. I have always been a dog person and a cat person. Now I am a bird person and my babies are a blessing.

Hello, and welcome to the Parrot Forums family!

I'm so glad that birds have brought you such peace. I know that taking care of a loved one with Alzheimer's must be very difficult, so it's a wonderful thing that you've found a balm in your newfound relationships with these birds. They are indeed a blessing.

We definitely look forward to learning more about you and your beautiful flock! And just know that we LOVE pics, here. We never tire of seeing the all the feathered kids of this community.

Wishing all the best to your mom!
