If you mean wild birds I'd have to definitely say hummingbirds, and then birds of paradise. Locally I love our hummingbirds (ruby-throated - they are the only hummingbirds in the United States east of the Mississippii River) although I love our local indigo buntings, scarlet tanagers, and rose-breasted grosbeaks. If you mean birds in the pet category I'd have to say .... omg I can't pick !

Well, if you're talking non-pets, then penguins. I'm sorry, but they're just too cute. I'm sure there's a million more beautiful and intriguing birds, but I just have a deep affection for penguins. It's a bit cliche, I know.

IF I'm going by my backyard wild birds I have to go with the Wrens since they used the nest box I put up and had little babies in there....They were so cute!

OMG you just reminded me of the Lammergeier (or the Bearded Vulture), a living dinosaur if ever I've seen one!
Artists actually seem to rely heavily on this bird when they re-create animals from the prehistoric Dromaeosaurid family, such as the Utahraptor.
