While shopping today, I ran across freeze dried fruit and veg, all organic and when looking at the ingredients, only freeze dried fruit and/or veg are listed, no fillers, chemicals, etc. Here is a pic of the packet I was looking at. I was thinking would they be good, healthy treats for Buddy and Venus? Does anyone have experience with this food item? It's human grade, not parrot grade, organic, but is freeze dried hazardous to parrots? I didn't buy but if feedback is good I will and try it on the parrots and the humans, lol.

I believe i remember reading that freeze dried, or any dried fruit/veggie is ok as long as its sulfide free.

This stuff you have here seems pretty basic, if its just the food as ingredients, I wouldn't think you would have a problem.

Just my thoughts/memory...no official sources.

I feed Zilla freeze dried fruits and veggies. Not that specific brand and not all the time, but she loves it as a treat now and then.

I think she thinks she is getting potato chips! It's a bag and it sounds like a potato chip bag... :D

My organic store occasionally has these and when they do I stock up. Both myself and the birdies LOVE them!
