I use Zupreem natural. Been considering switching to Harrison's but my bird loves Zupreem natural. Of course some of that love might come from the fact that he's overweight from his last home and on a mild diet, so any dinner is a yummy dinner!
All of mine get it, and I like it (so do they). I also mix in some TOPS sometimes and/or Harrison's and/or Roudybush, whatever is on sale around here. But Zupreem is a staple in their diet.
I feed all of my guys Zupreem natural, with a mix of Zupreem's fruit pellets, and usually Roudybush. But Zupreem natural is the main pellet they get.
They... Really, really like Zupreem. Genevieve usually squeals with glee while eating her pellets.
That's awesome! Yeah, I'm hoping that Juniper will adjust well. I've tried a lot of homemade recipes for better nutrition, but she's still addicted to seed food. I'm determined to rid that :20:
My GCC eats zupreem natural. He seems to like them, I like that they are easy to find around my small town. Any pellet is probably going to be better than a seed diet. Just switching your budgie to a pellet diet despite the brand is better than those seeds. At first you can try natural or colored round or fun shaped. Really whatever will get his attention. Then once he's eating pellets it should be easier to switch him to whichever pellets you want him on permanently.
I've got Kyo eating Roudybush + Zupreme Fruit. She LOVES the fruit blend so I use it mostly as training rewards and she only gets a little tiny bit in her food bowl. Perhaps trying the fruit blend first and gradually mixing in the naturals (what I plan to do) will work.
