Someone posted on this forum about giving their bird a dandelion flower, and everybody said the were good for birds.
My flock is very reluctant to eat the veggies, so I didn't have much hope when giving them some dandelion flowers and leaves which we had in abundance in our backyard. To my surprise, they absolutely loved them, even the cockatiel who doesn't almost touch any "green" food! They were sort of edible preening toys.
I started adding dandelions to our own fresh salads as well, and now it seems like there is not enough of them out there! So weeds turned into yummy treats for both birds and humans! LOL
