"Birdie". Sun Conure
I sprinkle pellets on the bottom of a med size play stand cup and then fill with fruit and veg in the morning. He really loves orange, Apple, corn on the cob, pea pods, kale stalks and green beans...all raw. The rest of the day he has pellets and at night I give him a tree nut before bedtime. His stools are pretty loose all morning, but firm up throughout the day. The vet said, "Not too much fruit and veg." He would eat nothing but if given a choice. Oh, and he also loves Birdie Bread which he gets most mornings too. He gets brown rice with dinner and sometimes something off our plates. This little bird can eat A LOT!

I would keep doing what your doing :) You can keep trying different vegs . Is your vet trying to tell you all pellets ? I would not do that in my flock !! Mine get some pellets but its a small percentage of their diet.
