My GCC won't eat pellets

Hello everyone,
My GCC Kermit has not even tried pellets since I brought him home. He loves fruit, veggies, grains, and seeds, but won't touch the pellets. When I put some in front of him, he picks up a pellet and drops it back in the dish but doesn't eat them at all. The breeder said he eats ZuPreem Fruitblend, but I have tried that, along with ZuPreem Natural, Roudybush, Harrison's, and TOP's pellets but he refuses all of them. My cockatiel and budgie both love to eat pellets, but for some reason Kermit just won't eat them. I know it takes time to convert them if they've been eating a seed only diet, but Kermit eats a very good varied diet and the only thing he's missing is pellets. I would like to save seeds as a treat for training only, but I have to give him some seeds in his dish because he doesn't eat the pellets. So what should I do? Just keep trying?

Does your lil birdie bum food during mealtimes? At my house mealtimes everyone gets fed and both my birds demand to sample what I have on my plate. I give each of them a sample..(of whats healthy for them to have) Getting my birds to try pellets was fairly easy.. I just had to stick some in a bowl and start eating them myself. No biggie... I know its bird food but if its not safe for me to eat it aint going in my birds bowl. Zupreem naturals really aint bad..lol.. mildly sweet...Harrisons power treats also decent but crunchier than I like. Didn't take long for birdies to try them for themselves this way.

My seed junky took to pellets eventually after giving him Nutriberries for a while. They also work as a treat and only have to rattle the pot for him to come running.

I'd recommend getting some orange juice, apple juice, grape juice and dunking a pellet so it tastes sweeter. My GCC often like to dip his pellets in water. I've put out some OJ in a cap and he's dunked in that too. Once he equates the pellets as more tasty with the juice, and is eating the regularly see if he will eat them on his own while removing the other stuff. If not put the other stuff back, for a while, you don't want to starve him.
