I have 2 sweet budgies, Nimbus and Banana. They are both boys Nimbus is 17 months and Banana is 11 years old though I've only had him for about 3 weeks. would write more but that's the max
So I am currently trying to convert my budgies onto pellets. I am currently converting them to pellets using zupreem fruit blend, which I know isn't very healthy but my birds enjoy the taste so I will change them onto a different pellet type once they are eating the pellets. Anyways the only question is what pellets. as far as I've researched TOPS pellets seem to be my favorite but my birds won't eat them because the pellets are to hard and big for them to eat (they do enjoy them though when break the pellets up but that creates to much waste). but as far as I've researched TOPS is the only pellet brand that doesn't use corn as a base and doesn't contain gluten.

You could maybe break them a bit or add some hot water to make them less hard... mambo when he started eating pellets I was putting them in hot water for 5-10 min, then removing the water and that way they’re not hard. I still doing it sometimes cause he likes it like that!

If not I know Harrison’s are organic pellets, I don’t know if they contain gluten or corn... but I know they are nice, a bit more expensive though.

Keep us informed on what you found!

Jose :)
