I think it depends on your bird's age and the level of foraging he is in. Is he new at these types of foraging toys? Turning is easier than pulling, so if he's a novice, I would start with the windmill.

They're both pretty good. I have one with pulls all over it, and once I went over it with him, showed him how it's done, he was hooked.

This would be his first foraging toy.

i wouldnt really say that, coopers first toy like this(besides shredding foragers) was a push/pull one. and once he got the hang of it, he has all the seeds out in a few minutes. so it wasnt to hard for him :) i like both the toys, you need to judge by how you think your bird will be able to figure them out

I think the bird could probably figure out either one!! They are smart, curious and determined!! Gilbert got his first foraging toy for Christmas. He figured it out quickly (it is like a pie with each 'wedge' containing a food/treat and he has to spin the cover to get treats out.....he quickly learned where the nuts were and emptied that out!)

Fargo absolutely loves every single foraging toy he has.. He has 7 acrylic type ones..

Figures each out in just seconds..

But he just doesn't like that tug and slide one

Even if there is food in it, he doesn't bother with it.. So then i just tied the tug bit down, so all he had to do was slide...Figured that out easily...But then just got bored of it..

Think it just prefers what your bird likes.. :)

Fargo loves his maze, where you twist it round and round.. or another where you have to twist the rings around until they are all in the right place!

I would go for the windmill, would be easier and funner!
