Hey!

I'm in the process of making a cool new perch/play area thing for my birds and wanted to show you! It's made out of the dowels that came in a cage I bought (that I replaced with natural branches) and I threaded some beads and balls and stuff on the string suspending it to play with! Not sure if I'll add more or not but I'm liking it so far :)

Any suggestions? Anything you think I should add?

Hmm if you could add a way to suspend some light toys above the perch area that'd be even better! That way they can amuse their beaks while they're perching.

Fabulous idea though - nice way to re-use the perches!

A crossover Quaker Scuti (F), A Sun conure named AC, A Cinnamon Green Cheek conure Kent, and 6 budgies, Scuti Jr. (f), yellow (m), clark Jr. (m), Dot (f), Zebra(f), Machine (m).
A good distraction, but he's still going to get into the fridge of your first picture....they do that.

ahahah They haven't figured out the fridge yet so we're safe for now. I'll definitely think about ways to add some toys! Thanks, I had them sitting around and just suddenly decided to make something haha

Change the twine to something your parrots will not chew through in 10 minutes, like plastic chain, thus avoiding avery nasty shock to them.

Oh yeah, my fids would keep chewing through that twine and knocking it down again and again...
Plastic is a much better idea!

Thanks for the idea! I'll look into getting some plastic chain :) The birds haven't been chewing it yet and haven't been very effective at destroying things yet haha but better safe than sorry!
