How to replace dowel perch on top of cage with a natural perch?

I’m trying to figure out how to replace the dowel perch that came with my green cheek conures cage, with a natural one. Any ideas or suggestions? I included pictures of the cage I bought for reference of the length and size.

I know you can buy screw and nut/bolt sets to make your own perches. I’ve definitely seen them for sale on Amazon. Maybe you could use those to attach a natural perch that is cut to the right size in place of the dowel? Or maybe you can just transfer the hardware from the dowel perch that the cage comes with to your natural perch?
