Hey guys, just got a beautiful 7 mo. old quaker. He has been home now for about 36 hours, and he is doing well. First day didn't eat or move but now he is exploring the cage, eating, drinking and starting to relax. But, I do have a question when I cleaned his cage I took him out and he was fine for the most part. Did not attempt to bit or hiss. He even stayed on my chest and shoulder and purred too. When I purchased him they cut his nails, and it seems although he is very sturdy on his perch he seems he is off balance on my shoulder. Is it normal for a parrot to be a little wobbly due to nails being dull and can not grab on to the clothes to hold on? Please let me know.
P.S. his feet look absolutely fine as well from what I can tell. Like I mentioned it is only when he is on a part of my body that has clothing.

Yes that's very normal. My sennie is always a little wobbly on my shoulder right after a nail trim. Also if your bird is young that could be part of the problem. Could also be the fact that your shoulder is much wider and harder to grip.

Thank you. I had a feeling that's what it was. Ok, thanks again.
