This is week two with Thor, and it's been great. Every night when I clean the cage, I wash the lower tray and grill in the show. I have Thor on my shoulder while I do this, so we could do what we did today.

So I stood in the shower, eye's closed everyone, it's not pretty. My wife Jen handed we Thor, who then jumped in my should. My back was to the shower and i turned a bit. Right under the water.

We changed shoulders and when under a few times. He didn't freak out, it was awesome. Next time we'll go for longer, and I'll look at a shower perch.

Very cool! Congrats! Sometimes it takes a bit to find what will motivate a bird to accept showers. My Ekkie only ever tolerated them until I got a shower head that had a mist feature. With that mist, he now begs for a shower when I’m taking a day time shower (I’m usually a night time showerer...not conducive for bathing our birds).

A wonderful accomplishment! Most of my birds dislike faucet showers, so you've given me encouragement to give the full-sized shower a try!

This is what I hope to accomplish with Emoji. I already have a shower perch from MANY years ago. We'll take it slow. The perch is out of the mainstream so should only catch the mist and splash that comes from me.
