IK everyone says to stay away from sunflower seeds, nuts, etc... So im fine with that. When I watch videos posted on here, and watching videos on youtube I always people training and rewarding with little bits of seeds or nuts. So honestly what should I be using? pecans or walnuts crushed into little peaces? fruit? veggies? seeds of what kind? Just wanna make sure im doing the best for Cap'N

Use teeny pieces of whatever Cap'N loves. For Kazi that's bits of almond. I buy small bags of blanched, slivered almonds and break them into small pieces. One training session lasts about 10 minutes and in that time he eats the equivalent of one almond. Not a big deal.

I buy banana chips and break them up for my B&G. Sunflower seeds for my Senegal. Neither of those are part of their normal diet, and aren't bad for them so they think its a treat. If they get bored or grumpy one day and just don't feel like training, for my B&G I break up a goldfish cracker into small pieces. Suddenly he is very cooperative! Don't do that very often though.
