I am wondering what kind of play stand you would suggest for a small/medium parrot? As far as what style functions best, easier to clean, or anything else you can think of when choosing.
Also if there is a website that has the best selection or deals on the play stands, that would be helpful too.

I do like that one because it has all the places to hang toys. The perches seem really small but I am guessing you can replace those with ones you prefer. The price on that is great. I havent seen one of those for under 140

You will be able to use more than one for sure! Table top too. I keep different treats at each and have found them to be a good way to introduce new foods!

Yeah, search Amazon. They usually have great deals on bird products. I got my Prevue cage for $120 off of there with free shipping.

Honestly, I love Prevue products. They're easy to find on Amazon, great quality, and you're not spending an arm and a leg.

Thanks all!
What is the vet wrap you talk about on your PVC post?

Java trees are easy to clean, and with ropes and toys it can be a lot of fun for your parrot. Have you thought about these :)?

I have looked at the java tree stands. They are just so expensive. I can't seem to find just the tree parts to make it myself (or I should say for hubby to make)

I really like the pvc idea. A couple questions.... How big of PVC to use? Do you wrap the whole thing in that vet wrap? If no vet wrap is it too slippery?

Have you looked at this twist on a play stand idea?
http://www.parrotforums.com/do-yourself/54586-playgym-stand-progress.html

Ya, using storage shelves opens up so many ideas! They come in any flavor, size, Stainless, plastic, adjustable! Many of the units can be configured so many ways! In my case, a 2x2 stainless unit fits so well! These laundry units even come with hooks and basket type shelves, on wheels, under 50 bucks! Upper shelves for play area, lower for storage. Simple plastic mats cut to size, layered, will make cleanup a snap! AND, compared to a regular bird stand, cost wise? A win/win! And if it doesn't work out? One extra storage shelf!

For PVC, don't glue. Vet wrap can be found at any feed and grain store, half the price of a pet shop. Avoid black, it seems to spook a lot of birds. Gorilla tape is also a good option, Walmart.

A great tabletop stand is a piece of grapevine (the come in all shapes and sizes at any store that sells reptile supplies) drilled onto a solid wooden base. You have to sanitize the pazookie out of it but it is so worth the trouble! Find one that can be drilled vertically and you're golden. You can even buy multiples and make a bigger stand!

Espresso loves loves loves this kaytee stand. Not a great brand known for pretty poor quality but this stand is perfect.

Well I have a BFA and the pvc pipe I had laying around the house was 3 quarters. I wrapped my pvc pipes with vet wrap almost everywhere I think she will climb on. its up to you tho but if you wrap it all over itll look very pretty and colorful ahha.

Vet wrap allows the bird to have a better grip.So with out the vet wrap yes it will be quite slippery. The smaller the bird you have the more you save. I spent more money on TOYs for the playgym then the gym itself ahhaha

I just got this for Kiwi, but it's more for smaller birds... I loved it because it hangs from the ceiling, and I am limited on space so it's a great area for her to hang out on on away from her cage and tree... I never attached the top and I like it that way. Take a look:
