Hi Im a new african grey owner and got her a big cage she seems to love climbing around it but not quite got used to the climbing yet , she seemed to spend most time standing on her food bowl that's up there with her I've noticed a few times she will try to move on by climbing away but then can't seem to get there then gives up and eats again now do I just let her find her own way ( to b honest I'm a bit scared of her falling ) or help her get down then c if she climbs back up ? She is still getting used to a new environment and think I should leave her to get on with it but there's a part of me thinking awwwwwwwww maybe if u helped her down

Thanx in advance for any replies

let her do her own thing. She will get the hang of it.( all birds will fall on occasion )

One thing you can do is add a perch high up in the cage. Parrots love hanging out in the top of the cage so they can see everything better.

Do you have a perch in front of the food bowl? That is a prime place for a cement perch or another type of nail and beak conditioning perch. After Greys eat they tend to rub their beaks on the perch to clean it, on of these perches will keep toes and beaks trimmed for you.
