Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
Any suggestions on a parrot-safe carpet cleaner that can be used in the same room with the bird (mainly for spot-cleaning in high traffic spaces).

Thanks!

You could probably put some baking soda on it, scrub it with a hard wire brush and then vacuum it up. Or just use some soapy water with dawn dish detergent and scrub it in and then blot it up with a towel.

I just used a Bissell steam cleaner. I put in very hot water, about a quarter cup of white vinegar, and a squirt of Dawn. It worked really well and didn’t have a strong vinegar smell-just kind of a fresh smell.

I just cleaned my carpets. I used very hot water, 1/4 cup of vinegar, and a squirt of Dawn in each tank. Worked great and smelled fresh, not to vinegar-y. I did read about a spot cleaner that used hydrogen peroxide and Dawn.
