Amazons reaching sexual maturity

I have decided that I would like to get an Amazon and all the characteristics of these birds seem perfect for me I just have one concern and that's how to deal with an Amazon once they reach sexual maturity from my understanding they become really nasty and aggressive my question is for how long are they aggressive and is there anything you can do to prevent or leasten the severity of the change. How did you guys get through your amazons reaching sexual maturity



Also I will have 7 to 8 hours a day to spend with goose and this new Amazon do you guys think that will be enough.
