It required “shooing” lol. Hopefully said encouragement was traumatic enough that he won’t be back!

Golly it looks like Tsali is right at home with everyone. Soooo happy things worked out so well. I agree, Steph did an amazing job with him. Obviously he was/is so loved.

A few days ago I asked my husband if we could chop down this really ugly tree. I think it heard me because two days later it looked like this!

And note the song new crop of future perches! We cut some sage wood that we know hasn’t been treated and it’s curing by the fence :)

Today we went to Home Depot and for once didn’t take any birds with us. I think they resented it because these two maniacs broke out of their cages! Tsali caught here red-handed munching on treats, and Kaleo supervising the bathroom.

Yes I have the extreme honor of being Tsali’s next good home. He has had the most extraordinary upbringing and he is beyond a joy to live with.

Oscar is my resident trouble maker. Until Lily moved in, he was the only one who could bust out of his cage. One day we went shopping and came back to find absolute chaos. Not only had Oscar busted out, but he'd let everybody else out as well. This was months before Charlotte died and before Betty moved in, but after Leo died. So we had a goffins 'too, a scarlet macaw, a yellow nape amazon, a budgie, and a lovebird all roaming free. Utter pandemonium.

Oh, and we now use a chain and a padlock on his cage when we're not home and overnight.

When Royal lived inside he would let others out as well!

Kaleo and Tsali hate each other’s guts so I think they were working independently lol.

Just a note: I usually quarantine new birds. Tsali’s situation is very abnormal I’m pretty much every way and we decided to forego quarantine for several specific reasons but I don’t want anyone reading this thread to think that quarantine isn’t an important part of bringing a new bird home. Vet check, quarantine, disease testing.

Yup. Similarly with Lily. I know her human well. She uses the same vet I do, she's an only bird, only goes outside to go to the vet or my house, etc. I should probably make the same disclaimer on my post about taking in Lily for a little while.

I know Tsali is getting more than his fair share of pics right now, I hope you will forgive me. Everyone else is alive and well, too!

We are waiting for my husbands football game t start. Nohea decided she didn’t want to wear a harness, Kaleo is suuuuper nesty so I don’t want to touch her the way I would need to for a harness, Makoa is afraid of strangers, Carlin doesn’t have a harness that fits... and on and on it goes. So Tsali gets another turn.
