Baby parakeet found

Hi folks, not sure where to seek help.

I have a parakeet found in my garden 3 weeks ago. It wasn't able to fly and I had kept it in a bird case since.

I had fed and kept it safe for some time now. It is definitely wild so my intention was to release it to its family. (There are 2 families of parakeets flying around my neighbourhood)

I release it out of the cage but it wasn't able to fly. My worry is - is it still too young to take flight or injured?

Contact your local paper. And check classifieds someone is looking for this bird, maybe put up a sign "parrot found". don't post the picture, make them describe it. "found parrot" Also its not a parakeet just use the word parrot. Be non specific so only the real owner knows.

Also thank you for taking care of him/her. You are a wonderful individual. Unless you live in south america it's not wild....
