Alberto - African Grey
Hello! Alberto the African grey is doing really well and is super friendly with everybody. Now someone has asked me to babysit his Blue Macaw while he goes to the hospital for a week.
Tips PLEASE!!!!! I hope they will be friends and "uncle Cesare" can come and visit sometimes...
I know that at first they should be in seperate rooms, and maybe together a few minues in a different room. At the moment Aberto hangs out in the entire house, he mostly stays on his rolling perch and whatever room I am in so is he. Will he likely be territorial with a visiting bird? Can I let them interact?
Thanks so much!

According to my avain vet if a bird you take in is an only bird and not exposed to other birds or bird then quarantine is not necessary. Some members may not agree with this but I have heard others with knowledge say this also.
