Bird shots/vaccines

I've seen people talking about their birds have had their shots. What shots/vaccines do I need to give? I just got my Quaker Parrot and doubt that she's ever been to the vet. Just wanting to know in advance what's needed. I think there is an avian vet 1 hr from me.

As far as I know birds in the US do not get any shots or vaccines.

I don't know of any vaccines for parrots (at least here in Canada either) but a visit to the vet once per year is always a good idea just to make sure your birds are doing OK and to provide a baseline in case things are not going OK.
