... I was just curious, I knew the previous bird in it suddenly died. The person I bought it from said she bought it new and three days later the bird died. Could what ever that bird died off affect my bird (Via having contact with the cage),if it was a disease? I doubt it wasn't and maybe the death was due to something else. BUT I am just be cautious.


I do plan on putting birds in it until after I properly dis-infect it. I just need to buy a spray thursday on me day off. :3

I am either going to buy some budgies to keep in it as a secondary cage for damien in the living room, haven't decided yet.

I would think if you dissinfected it and let it sit in the sun for a day it would be fine~ do you have a power washer to get into the nooks?

I have a cheapy steamer that should do the trick. Sadly not a lot of sun here in Britain but I will try and get it out on a good day!

I think if you disinfect it good, you should be fine. Expect to go through a couple of scrubbies though.
