See siggie :)
I have a pair of cockatiels breeding at the moment.
They were put in the breeding cage about 2 weeks ago ( I think ) and they now have two eggs, which they are sitting on :)
Should hopefully have chicks in about three weeks :)

Don't know if I'm hand rearing yet, I've got everything but probably not because I have school and I'd hate to hand rear during school hours unless I really really have to.
Plus I've already lost a load of hours of sleep because I have a sick budgie right now that needs force feeding 24/7 :(

Pics to come :)

Hey Ratzy, that sure is a proud daddy, you could pull at 3wks and feed about every 4hrs and let them "clean out"overnight. At 5 wks maybe 3 times a day. They should start to fledge at about 7 wks.I'd pull the chicks before they fledge if you want pets or keep them with the parents if you want breeders. Your parent birds; if hand raised they may lay more eggs than babies they can feed, especially when babies get bigger, you need to keep an eye on youngest chicks and help co-parent them. Your nest box; has screws sticking thru, you need to cut and grind these off before they injure your fledgling babies, who will do lots of flapping around in the box. Good luck, I used to carry babies to class in my pocket or a sling around my neck and warm formula in the microwave ,but i was a bit crazy.
