Hello everyone!

I been saying my bird is a boy for almost 4 years now, but today a person who used to breed them said its 100% female, because of the tail.

Here's one picture.

Here's another.

Can someone tell me if its actually a boy or have i been misgendering it for 4 years

I'd vote for a female but I'm not 100% sure how it works with pieds (and is it even pied? Idk)

IDK.
Does your birb ever make the heart-wings?
thatā€™s kind of a male display.
As I understand it the horizontal bars are on the underside of the tail not on top For a female.

He has a small mirror the size of a coin that sits in his cage and he keeps carrying it around the cage, sometimes takes it out of the cage and carries it around the house. Is very protective of the cage if you put your hand inside he could bite you (sometimes playfully, sometimes with intention to kill), even if you are giving him food. I guess thats a male behavior as well.
