I have become a CraigsList "lurker". It's getting so bad! I'm going to end up with another bird or two, and that's just what I don't need right now.
Anyhow, I was "browsing" and came across these two beauties for sale. The pair is under 3000 and it is from a "reputable" store in my area. Thank goodness I'm sure they are not tame at all (an untame amazon is behind the very last of the "last thing I need"), but I don't think they are actually pair bonded yet. It sounds like they have just been put together in the last year or so. The hen is missing her foot. I was just awestruck and how incredibly gorgeous they are! The store goes out of it's way to notify all prospective buyers that this is an actual endangered species and all sales are restricted to California. I had no idea that was a thing.
