Craigslist isn't always bad. That's where I got Layla. She couldn't be a better bird. Just have to get lucky and be smart in the search. Ask a lot of questions....a good owner that legitimately wants a good new owner will ask as many questions about you as well. Laylas old owner and I still keep in contact. I was very lucky finding such a well adjusted bird but they are out there.

Ye I'm sure if it's a meet-up and cash dealing nothing could go terribly wrong. But long-distance, shipping, credit card is where it gets icky.

scam. put up a craigslist ad for a free car, and put his number and email. He will be spammed with inquiries and will def annoy him

I can tell you it's 100 percent scam I was in contact with a lady in Texas who said too me wire me the money...she would sell me two hyacinths and cage for 700 dollars. Stay away from that contact.
