Currently -- an orange sided conure (Teddy)

Previously, before moving overseas -- an African Grey (Komo), a peach front conure (Bilbo), and a maroon belly conure (Dino)
I just bought a new Whirlpool Electric Range.

I called Whirlpool and asked if the range itself had and "built-in" teflon I had to worry about. They said no, that the only known risk to parrots from the range was using the self-cleaning oven feature (which I already knew).

But I feel a little paranoid.

Has anyone heard of a teflon problem with new electric ranges themselves?

Thanks.

Can't say i have. I use both teflon frypan & electric range without any harm to my babies at all. I have a range hood & i am able to leave windows & doors open all year round. My home is never locked up so i have a good cross breeze through my home. Plus not one of my parrots are anywhere near the kitchen while i cook.
