Do I have to cook garbanzo beans or do anything else to them before feeding them to my birds?

Scooter -- male Green Cheek Conure "Normal" but that's a matter of opinion! Hatched in March 2010

Scotty -- Male Cape Parrot hatched somewhere between 2007-2009 we think

Caballo Blanco -- male C
They should be safe raw or sprouted -- red kidney beans and their close relatives are what's a major no-no (for humans, too) in a raw state. But I think they'd be more palatable sprouted or cooked. If canned beware of high sodium levels (but canned beans are already cooked).

Mine find the sprouts palatable FWIW. They are presented in a mixed-sprouts meal each evening.
