good nuts to crack?

for caiques are walnuts a good nut to give them something to break and eat?

I know some parrots bills are not strong enough to break it.

Was wanting to give my birds something they would have to work for.

I'd be surprised if they could open their beak wide enough for a walnut. If they can an occasional walnut wouldn't hurt them

Partially crack them so there's someplace to start. They can work them from there.

MY GUY LIKES THIS.. i also put a treat inside a paper tube and fold the ends. he has to tear it apart to get it.

That's what I do too - give the nut a little thwack with a hammer just to create the tiniest crack.
