Scaly Breasted Lorikeets
Hi there, I am new to all this but hope I can learn something. We havea new baby in our home, a baby scaly breasted lorikeet.
We took pity on 2 neglected scalies that were being 'gotten rid of'as they were too noisy. We gave them a new cage, a breeding box and guess what? we now have a partly feathered baby looking out. We estimate that he is about 7 weeks old.
Can anyone help me with the question, when can we take him/her from the parent's cage?
My husband would like to have a playful mate that is out and about in the house with us. I am handling him now for short times and he does not see very distressed.
All help gratefully recieved.
We also have a pair of Indian ringnecks, again a rescue, and cockatiels and budgies.
Thanks Lindy
Linda
